Talking Lavamus pricing model - 05-23-2008, 10:17 PM

This really isn't fair to Lavamus Solaris. I almost did not look at them based on your chart here. I am glad now, that I did. The discount on albums is the same as their discount on individual tracks. It is based on how much credit you add to your account.

If you add less than $29.95, then the above pricing is correct, .15 cents per song and no bonus tracks, so an album of 10 songs will cost you $1.50.

For $29.95 to $49.94, you receive a 15% discount, so all tracks you download will cost .13 cents, making an album if 10 songs cost $1.30. As an additional bonus, you get an additional 10 songs for free.

If you add $49.95 or more to your account, you receive a 30% discount, so all tracks you download will cost .11 cents, making an album of 10 songs cost $1.10. A significant discount. In addition to this, you also receive an additional bonus of 20 free songs.

On top of this, if you maintain a $20.00 or more balance in your account, they also provide an additional bonus of 10 free radio or live performances per day. Yesterday, I was able to download a Marilyn Manson live album and a Metallica live album at no cost, as it was deducted from my 10 per day bonus. I just checked, and it is back at 10, and I see a live Megadeth album available as part of the bonus for me to download.

No Nightfly, I am not an employee of theirs.

Thanks for pointing this out, Therio, and for explaining how the Lavamus bonus system works.

Another metalhead!!

Hi Therio

Obviously there are many positive things to say about the Lavamus pricing model, which you all state above - but no matter how you put it, they don't offer a discount for purchasing a full album specifically. You get precisely the same discount percentage, if you decide to buy only 9 out of 10 tracks of an album at Lavamus.

ALL the other stores have this kind of full album discount - Lavamus haven't...

It's up to you guys to judge, if the bonus model of Lavamus is inferior or superior to the pricing models of the competing shops. I don't make any judgment in my comparison table

Move? - 05-23-2008, 11:37 PM

All of the above is a very useful discussion but, perhaps, to make it easier for people specifically looking for Lavamus info, in the future, could it be moved to the Lavamus thread?

I've been with Lavamus for a long time. At 49.95, it's actually 10 cents a track. My favorite site Troods

If you have been with them for a long time, then you of all people here must really be enjoying their relatively new price structure

I can access the site but can't download. I'm getting this message "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading". I'm guessing the site is really busy just now and will try again later>

Thanks Hirs Ute - Just downloaded my first purchase from Lavamus. Just noticed your location - we're not too far apart.
