New Advanced Search. Get paid for tests! - 05-30-2008, 04:25 PM

We welcome aom members to test our new ADVANCED SEARCH and get free bonus on our site.
It allows search for a specific artist, album or track of particular time frame and of particular genre. But all these features were invented long time ago and do not need any special attention.

What is really special is that you can search for releases encoded in 320kbps quality and releases of "free releases" section. So if you are hunting for these releases only you are welcome to browse them.

You can also get a list of releases of any artists encoded in 320kbps quality. Just type the name of the artist and choose "search among 320kbs (CD quality) releases". If you put "UNKLE" into search field and tick "among 320 kbps only" you will get a list of Unkle releases encoden in 320 kbps and the list of tracks where "UNKLE" is mentioned in title.
But if you are looking for any particular track that is encoded in 320kbps you are welcome to type its full name (including artist name) into search field and see what happens (for example "madonna 4 minutes")

We paid attention to one topic of this forum where aom3 users gave some compliments to the major players of mp3 scene and we tried to make our search as logical as they have.
But if any user see any rude logical mistake and can point us we'll be able to fix it and grant him with 5$ balance on our site.
Please PM your login email on our site with your suggestions.

Once our advance search meet all expectations we will place a link to it on our site.

we do not store 128 kbps sound.
if you do not select "search among 320kbps" the results will perform your matches among all our music archive.

perhaps not 128kbps but i have downloaded an album at 160kbps
it's not enough (for me), i want at least 192 kbps (cbr or v2)

for the rest, and like with the others stores, it would be a great idea to see the bitrates of encoding and not only 320kbps

thanks for all your hard work

Hey what is the standard encoding rate if it isn't listed at 320?

Wren,
I was informed of your troubles.
Any release with quality poorer than 192 kbps will be refunded. Please PM me if you didn't get your compensation yet.

PS But we'll place the information about bitrates on our site too in the nearest future if there is a strong demand in it.

As I mentioned in previous post you are welcome to download ANY release with no hesitation. It'll have a quality of 192kbs or better. A refund will be offered to any user who face a bitrate lower than 192kbps.
And if you insist we'll replace the release with better one if you point us to this problem.

Bit rate is important and I feel a lot happier now knowing that all of your stuff is 192kbps or better (or a refund if it isn't). For me 192 is fine, but I would prefer to know what it is before I download. Earlier today I was trying to find anything but Fredo Viola and both Lavamus & mp3skyline had the EP Risa. Skyline had it at 64kbps (even I won't go that low) and I was nervous that yours may have been the same. Took the risk & downloaded it from you and it was at ~200kbps. Would have been a lot easier if your site had just had the bit rate displayed,
Cheers,
Dave C

Agreed. Yeah 192 kbps is quite good and for the average person it will be fine. I've honestly never even heard 64 kbps....maybe cassette or vinyl quality?

64 kbps is bad. iTnes songs are 128 AAC and there's a document on Apple's website that says this bit-rate delivers a quality of up to 160 kbps. Imagine that. How glorious!! But even that is bad, imo. I won't buy anything at less than 192, and I prefer 256.

So iTnes can stuff their music up their orifice.
