Welcome message from Lavamus Music Store - 05-12-2008, 06:14 PM

Hello to the most advanced users of online music stores.
We welcome you to the new "Lavamus" section of the forum.
We hope to use this sub forum to get a feedback on our work, get your advices and reports of possible problems and desires for improvements.
We've been monitoring this forum for a long time and will try to meet the expectations of its users in responding to their complaints and requests in a timely manner.

Since it's our first official post we would like to let you know about our latest improvements and our few future moves:

1) We started to offer live shows and radio mixes for free for users with a certain amount on their balance.
2) We have collected the information about all 320kbs releases in our archive and will mark them with a special sign for DJs and other advanced users who have golden ears.
3) Tracklistings for mixes will become available soon. Over 20 000 mixes will get this additional information.
4) New albums and singles that we add to our archive will also include the type of release they were ripped from (vinyls, cds, promo discs, dat and so on)
5) New "Advanced Search" will be offered shortly so users will be able to search releases of any time frame narrowing their search to 320 kbs releases only, free radio sets and live shows, tracks in mixes, vinyls and so on.
6) Music request are being accepted already.
7) New calendar of "Just Added" releases will also be offered. As for now it's not clear how many albums we add daily. Lots of our users demand this feature as they are hunting for something new and fresh. We hope this will serve them.
8) New section for "Various Artists" will be added. You will be able to browse these releases by genre and date of release.
9) Lots of new charts will be added and you are welcome to help us to create and keep them updated.
10) New prelisten feature in stereo is also a plan since we noticed that some users are missing one buried radio station that offered such music some time ago.

All these new features are not something special and some other online stores have them already. But we decided not to reveal other future improvements just to avoid sponsoring our competitors with some fresh ideas.
Other moves will be announced upon their official release and you will be welcome to test them.

Per aom3 rules we will grant the most active users of this section. First 10 posters will get 10$ balance (please PM us your login email on our site).
More bonuses will follow.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and efforts.

Congratulations on getting your very own thread (at last), Lavamus

I'm aware you have known about us for a long time, because when I joined JustMusicStore last June and made an inquiry about one of your features, you immediately revealed this knowledge about our forum

So what took you guys so long to make the "giant" leap? Are we that intimidating and fastidious? No, you don't have to answer that...

We really appreciate your presence here - just like we appreciate that the other site administrators are spending an amount of time here and thereby are being an important part of this forum

Hello and welcome - 05-12-2008, 07:43 PM

Hello Lavamus and welcome you clearly have some exciting initiatives lined up for your site.

Concerning bitrates your proposal concerning highlighting 320kbps files is excellent and will be appreciated by many. Some of us will only download at 320, but also some of us download 320 as the only alternative to the quite poor VBR rates offered by many of the music sites. By their nature 320 files can take up too much space if all files are downloaded at that rate and very often 256VBR is a perfect compromise.

What would be perfect would be the ability to search and tick a bitrate box either VBR, 256VBR or 320 or else search all new releases ranked by bitrate.

Just a thought

Sounds good - will bring it more in line with recordings.ru, only it won't be such a pain in the ass the fund and is pretty much the same price when you take your bonuses into account!

Also re: point 4, does this mean current items will not have their source listed?

I'm kinda gonna take a guess and say you mean skylive.fm? If so, that sounds great too!

Now if only you had some kinda of all-you-can-eat service

Welcome - 05-14-2008, 06:12 AM

Hi Lavamus

I'm delighted that you now have your own sub-forum. Having given up totally on Skyline and been frustrated with mp3sale for weeks, it's great to have a new site with a fantastic music selection and great download speeds.

Keep up the good work and if you could find the debut album by Sarabeth Tucek, you'd be my friend for life.

Great to see you too - 05-16-2008, 02:17 PM

Thank you for your welcome messages too.
Per our initial post in this topic we will grant first aom3 members who post here with 10$ balance. Nightfly has already recieved his bonus. All others are welcome to PM us with their emails on our site and they will be granted too.

Now here are our responses to your requests.

to Hirs Ute:
As for now we are able to detect 320kbs from all others only. But since it's important for some users to search different bitrate options we'll try to add more features soon.
We are also going to have some .flac and .wav releases added and advanced search will offer an ability to search them separately.
Browsing 320kbs releases among new archive releases will also be enabled shortly.

to Benv (Also re: point 4, does this mean current items will not have their source listed?)
As for a beginning this will cover releases of 2007 and 2008 only.

to Dodger45 (if you could find the debut album by Sarabeth Tucek, you'd be my friend for life.):
The release you requested is available now on our site.

Any comments will be greatly appreciated.
