Question Omnipotent laws - 11-26-2007, 10:59 PM

Are the intellectual property laws of the US and UK supposed to be omnipotent?

Has anyone safely used mp3sparks.comk - Music - Digital Spy Forums

I hope my point of view is quite clear

Hi Elfcall.

I know you are being ironic in the above remark - but you're actually right. I usually use a much "louder" rhetoric, when it comes to DRM.

DRM simply must be the worst technology ever created. Just think about how much money must have been spent on something that has never worked and never will... I wouldn't be surprised if we talk billions of dollars all in all - and not one single music or movie file has ever been stopped reaching the internet.

Instead it has scared millions of potential customers away, swearing never to return until they get rid of this crap technology

You know, I agree with you passionately - but at the same time, there are so many "casual" users that don't even know what DRM is and don't have a clue that they are getting screwed when they buy music from iTunes. Why, a buck here or there isn't that big of a deal for some - and they don't get into the whole "big brother is watching" thing. I am just surprised that there are so many people out there ambivalent about what they spend their money on.
