Wink What To Do If Your ISP Is Blocking Your Favourite Online Music Stores - 12-01-2007, 02:59 PM

This small change in your Windows settings has given a lot of forum members their internet freedom back - AND it's FREE

Do like this:

Open Network Connections
Right click your specific net connection (LAN?) and choose properties
Choose Internet Protokol (TCP/IP) and click properties
Choose Use The Following DNS-server addresses
Default DNS-server : 208.67.222.222
Alternative DNS-server : 208.67.220.220
Click OK
Click OK
Done

Finally: Remember to clean out your cookies.

Here you'll find a lot more on the subject:

Lightbulb One More Tip - 12-04-2007, 07:26 PM

If you're still having trouble after switching to OpenDNS, then it could be that you need to flush your DNS:

Press down the Windows tab on your keyboard and hit R

Write: cmd (Click OK)

Write: ipconfig /flushdns (Press Enter)

Please notice the space between the g (in ipconfig) and the slash (/)

Lightbulb Orsn - 12-04-2007, 07:34 PM

You could also try to use the ORSN servers instead of OpenDNS:

Follow the instructions of the first post of this thread - but enter the below numbers instead of the OpenDNS ones:

Default DNS-server: 217.146.139.5
Alternative DNS-server: 62.157.101.211

Thanks for your help,

but please don't quote them, because then we have remnants of their spam.

If you decide to go the OpenDNS route you might pay their site a visit to see how you can configure it to block assess to what you want blocked. Check out the 2nd link in the 1st post. Censorship can be good so long as you choose what you want censored from yourself.

Here is a link to a guide on how to switch to OpenDNS on any computer/operating system and/or how to enable it on your router:

https://www.opendns.com/homenetwork/start

There's even a video guide.
