7. Optional file format

9. Awsome back catalogue
10. Price (If this is the most important parameter for people, they should be downloading from i.e. Download mp3 music, buy mp3 music - LegalSounds.com instead. It's half the price. Almost all of the other Russian and Ukrainian online music stores are cheaper than AllOfMP3).

Or indeed use torrent, emule or somesuch. Even cheaper.

The majority of music I have downloaded through alltunes is simply MP3 versions of that which I have on vinyl and do not have the time to encode, I have several thousand albums in this format, and whilst I have duplicated some on CD over the years, there are others that I long to hear on my iPod and this site is the simplest and most affordable way to do so. I do resent the need to, and cannot really afford to duplicate everything into CD. I still spemd enough on music and do more than my bit for this industry.

1. It's the only place I could find some really rare music. Add to that the fact that down here it's very difficult to find what you want, except for the newest commercial hits (basically what you can hear on MTV all day long). If I had the choice of online and retail stores that are available in the occidental world, it could have been a different story.

2. Quality. I could have got from p2p networks some of the music I bought from AOM3, but the quality would have been questionable, especially since I'm listening to it on a system a bit better than the average PC boombox.

3. Price. It hate to admit it, but when you have to pay 3 to 7 % of your monthly income on 1 (one) CD, you get second thoughts on which are the priorities in your life (music may be my life, but I also need food and a roof over my head ).

That being said, I have to say a big THANK YOU to our eastern neighbours. May God give you long and happy lives, so you can keep us happy too .

The year 3000 may still come to pass
But the music shall last

This is the way music should be sold and made available to consumers.

The RIAA is hanging on to antiquated methodologies and bullying consumers to pay more than their share because they insist on continuing to package and sell physical media that no one is interested in purchasing.

Their higher pricing, no matter what medium offered, reflects the overhead for creation and sale of the physical media which is obscure.

I'm not going to tell them to change their business model, but I think by shopping at alternative sites consumers are sending the message that this is what they want.

1. No DRM
2. Price
3. High-quality downloads/high bit rates
4. Great downloader
5. Multiple download formats available
6. Large, up to date catalog
7. Files already tagged (for the most part)

The American recording industry needs to get with the program.

No DRM - which imo is too restrictive.

The ability to buy credit; download music and keep it forever.

No monthly subscriptions

Price

I chose it for:

1. Music that's not available elsewhere in any format.
2. Cheap
3. Music that's very hard to find elsewhere.
4. Cheap.
5. Music that's not yet (maybe will never be) digitally available.
6. Cheap.
7. The DRM thing I suppose.
8. Higher bit rates.
9. Preview function.
10. The price. Cheap.

#1 and #3 are to me by far the most important.

Hi MeridianFC-Suited.

Why don't you use MP3Fiesta or LegalSounds, if cheap is such an important factor for you?

And if hard to find is an equally important one, then you should probably take a long hard look at MP3Skyline...

......and for 8) and sometimes 3) take a look at Millisong (see the review on RuTunes.com). However if 9) is really important for you then don't bother as Millisong's preview function is pretty useless
