Why do you guys use AllOfMP3? - 04-14-2007, 04:35 PM

Here's the 10 main reasons that I have used AllOfMP3 for the last 3 years.

1. No DRM
2. No DRM
3. No DRM
4. No DRM
5. No DRM
6. No DRM
7. Optional file format
8. Optional bitrate
9. Awsome back catalogue
10. Price (If this is the most important parameter for people, they should be downloading from i.e. www.legalsounds.com instead. It's half the price. Almost all of the other Russian and Ukrainian online music stores are cheaper than AllOfMP3).

For me:

1) Optional file format/bitrate
2) Good musical choice (I could not find some music I needed in the others)
3) Price (in the beginning)
4) Easy and fast browsing and downloading

P.S.

DMR is an unbelievable b......s..it, a "state of the art" expression of major's power and also a little voice saying to us all "sucker"

To be honest, I have just discovered it. I am new here. I may have an answer for you in a month or two.

trick-r-treat:

You do know that there's a difference between this place: http://www.aom3.org/forum/ and the subject of this forum: the infamous: http://www.allofmp3.com/

Don't you?

I haven't used it at this point.

For one thing, if I'm shopping for music I'm not familiar with, I'd rather hear it with better sound quality than the previews allow.

Taggart:

Then go to www.MP3Stor.com. There you can listen to most of the music in lossless quality

Yes, I do. I guess I should have recently discovered allofmp3. I think it is a pretty cool site.

Hey solaris, thanks very much! By the way, I think I found more of what I searched for on MP3Stor.com than on the other site.

I found allofmp3 in 2004, and like the rest of you guys, I use it for the non-DRM, the variable formats (even though I always choose 128kbs vbr mp3), and the price.

I'm sad to see it being sued by the RIAA, but hopefully they can sort that out and continue selling mp3s (even at a higher price, as long as it's non-DRM and multiformat). I regularly buy music from other stores like Rough Trade that sells albums for around £6.99, just because of the non-DRM and high bitrate.
