This sounds a bit vague to me -- if I understand it correctly. What constitutes a decent post count? If you're selling them, then you're selling them. I'm not sure that's equitable. Everyone who is a member here is a member. There may be justifiable reasons they haven't posted a lot -- this is a much less active site than it was 18 months ago.

Martinman,

I must agree with aom3, to reward our active Sr members first that happens
to include you.Without them we have no community.
And you know if I didn't agree with him, I would say so.
I would have done the same thing to reward our active members first and then see what happens. He's selling them under the umbrella as site administrator doing a slight favor not a retailer making a bit of change
on the side.
I'm saying I think you might miss his point in this instance.
If you are interested by all means take aom3 up on this offer.
A very good one if you have the dough.
Though let me say I do understand what you are are saying...

Your pal,

Nightfly

Does point count expire? Or can there be such a thing as too high a post count? Do I qualify for aom3's vouchers? ......... Just kidding

you got it, vik. i think there is both a lower (462) and an
upper (466) limit - only in-betweens need to apply.

and again, you are far above us all ...

many greets - henry

Thanks for your reply Nightfly. Okay, that clears things up in saying that it is for Senior Members -- he didn't indicate that. And that's fair to say that as a reward for all the Senior Members and their contributions, he's making these available.

But vikulenka has made a valid point. I see that vikulenka has not been active on this forum for some time but is still a member -- obviously she still maintains a presence here, even though she rarely posts anymore. And even though she is just kidding, she is still a Senior Member. Therefore, in all fairness, vikulenka should qualify because she helped this forum for a long time and this forum was built on the roots of those early members. In all honesty, would she qualify if she was serious? My guess is no.

The reason I raise this is because I have a professional background in equity and diversity and one needs to be very careful that people aren't being unfairly disadvantaged or discriminated against. The post just wasn't clear. It's not that I missed the point, I just think that there should have been some criteria that went along with it to make it clear and spell out reasons for the criteria.

Thank you for understanding where I'm coming from my friend. You know I truly value your hard work and fairness for all concerned -- and your friendship on here as well.

Martinman,

I don't think that coming over here once every 3 months to check on the dwindling member count, now in freefall, qualifies as maintaining a presence. And yes, I was just being snide and a tad sarcastic (I assure you those aren't qualities inherent to me) in my earlier post just to make a point. I am not in the least bit interested in Aom3's vouchers, not that they are on offer or anything .... My music library overfloweth all by itself

P.S. Propose all vouchers sold to Henry (now, what was it I said about not being sarcastic?

greets - henry -

PS: glad the humor is back ... and then with my long lost love, too.
