with all the recent hubub, should i start a new account with some other site or should i try to find a way to fill my sparks account? any one have the insight...?

Since you can not fund your Mp3sparks account at this time.

I suggest that you go to Rutunes.com and read all the fine reviews
on the various sites.Where funding your accounts is easy and safe.
They have great customer service and excellent catalogue's.
Read the reviews and find one you're interested in, and enjoy downloading
again.

If you have any questions let us know and welcome to the Forum....

Hi hdevil

No magic answers I'm afraid, but a couple of points. When it was possible to refill via allTunes, it was by visiting the allTunes website, not by using the allTunes application, so this wasn't actually a barrier for Mac users.

Secondly, your old allofmp3 login should still work on allTunes. You can check that by visiting www.alltunes.com and clicking 'Refill Balance'. If it does work, you might try to persuade a friend with a PC to install allTunes and let you spend your remaining allofmp3 balance.

We can only guess what Mp3Sparks and co are up to, but it's costing them money to keep the sites running. One might infer that they expect to have some money coming in in the future, so it's a bit early to write them off.

Having said that, there's no reason not to have accounts at several of the Russian sites if you can afford to.

I too am about to run out of credit, so i sent an email to the support address at alltunes enquiring as to when I could credit my account in anyway and had this response....make what you will of it, but at least it shows there's someone there and they will be back!!..

Hello,

"We’re sorry, our payment system is not accepting payments at the moment.
You can pay through ways of payment which will be accessible on a site in the future.
We’ll inform you when the payment will become available.
Accept our apologies for the delivered inconveniences"

That's one of their standard replies. However, their service eventually did resume every time in the past when they were in trouble, and they kept finding new payment methods. Let's hope they can do it again...
