CMPASS payment problem - 05-31-2008, 04:33 PM

tried out CMPASS this afternoon but at the end of my first call I wasn't given the link to the orders page and no PIN number appeared. I timed the call and it was just over 7 minutes as advised. It got the "call in progress" message and then when the call finished I got the "waiting for your call" message...

After this I did however try it again (was given a different number) and it all worked perfectly.

Have I lost the first $20 call? I've contacted CMPASS/xrost - has anyone else exprience of their customer service?

Malcolm

When I made my first call I thought nothing had happened. So I tried again and a notification appeared in the box on my screen. When I went to claim my pin number there were two numbers there, so my first payment had gone through after all - although I can't promise this will have happened in your case.

Incidentally, I see several of out friends in the US are asking for Brits to buy pin numbers for them. I'm sure there would be more volunteers if we had seen our phone bills and knew exactly what we were paying. It wouldn't be so good charging someone $20 for a pin number, only to find out later that it had cost us $30.

thought as much...

Have you tried again? I'm kinda reluctant to put through another payment on a 50:50 success ratio.

Yes 4 x $10, and it's been fine each time.
