Not yet, but I just tried the Moneybookers method and they want a bank transfer (out of country). Not sure how quick this would be with my bank and obviously the fee is going to be prohibitive, so I would not want to do only $10.00.

The Skype method, I am highly uninterested in.

Really, I guess mp3fiesta is working out ok for me - but they simply do not have the depth in thier catalog.

At the end of the day, if I can't pay with a CC with a maximum of 3 interacting steps for me (e.g. buying w/ 3rd party via credit card to get a cmpass to trade in at mp3sparks), It's just not worth it

Hello. I'm brand new to the forum and I bring gifts! I just added to my balance via my home phone. I saw a very nice writeup for how to add to the balance via cell phone but for U.S. users it only works via AT&T and Alltel. So I decided to return the favor and provide a detailed writeup on how to add the balance for all the U.S. people without either of these carriers. All you need is a land line or clearance on your cell phone, I believe, to dial out 900 numbers.

How to add to your balance via a land line
1. Cost is currently $9.96. Go to cmpass.com and setup an account if you haven’t already done so.
2. select the "buy cmpass with txtnation" option
3. select get SMS password for $10 cmpass
4. select Pay by Phone
5. a new window pops up. Call the 900 number and input the order number and # sign.
6. wait on the line for about 3 minutes – don’t hang up until you hear the word ‘goodbye’!!
7. after hanging up, go back to the computer mEnable window and click on ‘click here’ to retrieve the password.
8. Write down your password then click on ‘Click Here to Enter’
9. Input your password and the Turing number then Get Your CMpass. You can copy the order number if you wish.
10. Click on the Orders Page Link. You will be redirected to CMpass in another window.
11. Copy and paste the PIN Code and Claim ID into the MP3 Sparks balance section and you’re done! And you get to take advantage of your Alltunes bonus!

The whole process took less than 10 minutes.

RedRaider, great post! Are you saying, "Cost is currently $9.96", that to get the $10 credit on AllTunes / Sparks via this method that the cost for the 900# call is $9.96 in addition to the $10 for music?

From what I can tell, it's a total of $9.96 for $10.00 in music (not $19.96 total). I think they are probably setting the length of the phone call to be as close as they can to the actual cost that needs to be charged. It may be off a bit because maybe they can only charge in 5 second increments or something like that. In either case I don't have a way to check the phone bill yet, but I will post back in a week or so when I get my next bill.

I tried calling the 1-900... number for the pay by phone method of Mobilcash, but Verizon appears not to be allowing '900' calls on my phone.

Also, the pay by SMS method is only allowing 4.99 and then it claims 'this transcation is over the limit of 4.99'

I'm with Sprint/Nextel and get the same thing on the 900 and the SMS as you.

Also, home #, Comcast, blocks 900's.

Tried the Skype method for French as posted in one of the linked msgs, and skype wouldn't let me do that, so I've got 10 bucks in credit sitting there doing me absolutely no good now.

I can't get any of the methods to work.

Ok, just by chance went and did the UK method through txtnation and I am now waiting on hold with the music.

Just make sure you have enough in your skype account. I'll post the results after this.

Ok, worked.

Since it would only allow me to do $10 credit on skype, I waited until after the initial call started and my balance went down and added 10 more. The call completed and I got the pin code and all is well.

Might as well do this now for a few times to get some credit built up.
