I have read thru all the ways to make payments. I don't own a Mastercard and don't want to. I don't want to pay someone for PIN. I dont' want to download alltunes. Mp3Sparks won't accept my Visa. I don't understand the paypal virtual card idea because mp3sparks doesn't even have an option to pay via paypal, I don't have firefox. That seems to leave cmpass which, as I understand, only adds $10 to the account. I need to open an account for at least $25. So, do I go to cmpass at least 3 separate times? Do they charge some fee to add $10 each time?
I'm starting to give up on mp3sparks. Do all the other russian sites have this same problem? (I haven't signed up with anyone yet).

If you are not going to download alltunes (i.e. take advantage of their downloader) and you are not that fussed about getting the downloads in mp3 format at a bit rate defined by the download site, I would start by joining a different site as the payment options are a lot easier. I would just pick one (you mentioned mp3fiesta in an earlier post) and try it. If you get hooked on it (like myself and so many others have), this time next year you'll have accounts with four or five sites and will be wondering how you ever managed before,

If you like MP3Sparks for their optional fileformat and bit rate option, then there really are no alternative but to use CMPASS or phobozad (where you get a bonus to your MP3Sparks balance, which outweighs that small amount phobozad take for providing the pin code).

If it's MP3-files that you want, then you could just as easily use one or more of the other Russian/Ukrainian sites, since most of them are cheaper than MP3Sparks.

I recommend SoundsBox.com

MP3Sale.ru, MusicMP3.ru, MP3Fiesta.com, LegalSounds.com and MP3Skyline.com are also good alternatives

We have made a comparison table, where you can see which sites are the cheapest per track - but remember that most sites also give you a discount, when you buy a full album.

Which shop is best for you also depends a lot on what kind of music you listen to.

Thanks for the help. Each time I try to go to soundsbox.com, I get this message:
"Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /index.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache/2.0.59 (CentOS) Server at SoundsBox.com - Download full albums for $.14 per song Port 80"

--If I type the address directly into my IE explorer address field it brings up an Apache 2 Test page thing.
Any ideas?

I have no idea I have just opened SoundsBox in both FireFox and IE7 - and both loaded the page in less than a second

Can you see the site using a proxy: start surfing or Free Proxy Server by TNTproxy.com - Surf Anonymous Hide your IP

If you can see the page through a proxy, then you are somehow being blocked. Either by the site itself or by your ISP. Then you need to try this: http://www.aom3.org/forum/legality/1...html#post22881
