see, thats what i wanted to find out, and then draw a line between the two.

are you, physically, in the UK? and not just chosing it on their webpage,
but actually being identified with a UK IP-nbr too? they might actually use this
for identification too, so lets try it also from somebody who really is in the UK.

and that, however sad, and unbelivingly cunning, might bring us the truth.

All a little strange I think.

Edit:
I uploaded a screen shot but I can't seem to get it to display - any ideas?

Hello,

I would like to share my "bad" experience. I tried to make a payment using sms method. I first sent the required message "pay cmpass" to 3669 (Belgium), then I received a sms from 9439 asking me to send OK which I did. I tried several times to send OK to 9439 and 3669. I received absolutely NO ANSWER. I don't want to be charged for that!
I'm really not confident in the service although I had success before with PayPal. I e-mailed a support request telling that I would like:
1-to know if I have been charged
2-if I have been charged, be reimbursed or receive equivalent pin codes
3-to know what went wrong

I'll keep you informed of their reply.

Sheugel

... which means they base the SMS-back nbrs not just on what you select, but also where you are
located and calling from. was the same with the french and luxembourg callback nbrs (non-SMS).

makes sense (in order for them to get paid), but makes them also more difficult to figure out.

sooner or later a verifiable mr rowsell will have to turn up here and explain.

Let's hope so because this is getting more confusing every minute.

Personally I'd stay away from SMS payments and use the Moneybookers option. Moneybookers should work for everyone from any country and is a known and reliable payment processor.

i have the very same feeling, seeing and interpreting their website to the degree this can be done, and
knowing some 30+ people incl myself who use them, year in, year out, for quite some time.

one general problem (i just elaborated on this in another post) seems to be that with so many
steps involved, people tend to mix up companies and facilities, and that leads to complete confusion.
this then in turn is used by scammers.

Greetings,

Firstly I would like to clear things up for the conspiracy theorists, If you log into CMPASS select mENABLE > United Kingdom > SMS payment you will see our code is 60999.

I have recently spoken to Chris7 via short phone call to clear things up, he will be able to confirm this. If you have submitted a ticket and yet to have a reply please PM me with the address you registered this with and I will check our system, but as mentioned please be patient there is a back log.

As a few other forum members mentionied if credit card is your prefered payment option Pay Pal is not the only route you can take through mENABLE. You may also sign up and pay through Money Bookers.

Thank you, Chris, for confirming this and reassuring us

So am I right in thinking the Paypal option for txtNation has gone?
If so, can they tell us if it will be restored?
