MM Payment Options -
04-21-2008, 11:53 PM
Hi There,
could someone with a MM account check something out for me. I just logon & as usual went to attempt to add some credit. When I did this I had a 'new' option call something like Activate Card (definitely not seen it before). When I clicked on this it sent me to a page which seemed to be something bizarre about buying cigarettes( ) and using this I could add credit to my account?? When I went back to try from the start, the option had disappeared & annoyingly I was using firefox & so my history had been cleared . If someone could have a look to see if they get a new option I would appreciate it, beginning to think that I just imagined it ,
Cheers,
Dave C

EDITED WITH IMP. INFO:
To anyone who reads this before they check their balance, and want to top up
READ THE PAGE PROPERLY.
It generates a temporary coupon, and includes the cigarette website link. This disappears after you exit that screen, it won't show up again (I notice the special partner option isn't there anymore for me, like DaveC).
So again, read the page properly. DON'T click activate. Copy and paste the coupon code above activate. This must be a code that allows the cigarette site to update your balance.
Then open the cigarette site link on another page. Add cigarettes to your basket, checkout and enjoy your new topped up balance.
I clicked back a few times to get the same coupon code, went to the site again but the coupon code I used has expired now.
I have an option to activate with a special partner. I clicked that and it gives a coupon code and the cigarette link:

How to use
Go to cheap-cigarettes-on-line.com, add some goods to basket. For example:
1) You want to top up your account for $16. For this, add one "Winston Lights Blue Box". it costs $9. With $7 for a delivery, it would be $16. ($7 for delivery will be added for each cigarette pack you order).
2) You want to top up your account for $42 For this, add one "Winston Lights Blue Box" ($9), and one "Parliament k.s." ($19). With $14 for a delivery, it would be $42.
Then, enter your "Discount Coupon" number in appropriate field (at basket page), and press "Proceed to checkout". Please note: DON'T FORGET TO ENTER YOUR COUPON CODE! IT'S VERY IMPORTANT STEP! Also please note that your coupon is valid only 30 minutes after issuing.
Fill in your data, and press "Proceed to checkout". Pay with your card. Your account will be topped up.

Okay, that is what I got but lost it before reading properly. Any idea what it is about?? Is it like one of those get around things like when you buy a raffle ticket at a disco without a license and always win 4 can of beer??
Cheers,
Dave C

Awesome. I just topped up my account with $75.
You buy the cigarettes, checkout with the coupon code. There's a field to type your address for delivery but I left that blank anyway. Then I was forwarded to a payment asia VISA/Mastercard payment screen. I typed my info. I noticed the page interacted with a site called paydollar for a bit, then it was completed. I went to my balance page and noticed my balance had been updated.
The cigarettes site is just a cover. Let's just say they don't really exist.

Hi Dave,
I also had the same option earlier. Curious, I read the info for the link, then clicked on it. Now, the info wasn't specific enough for me to try. And, not being a smoker I have no need (or want) for cigarettes. And, like you when I went back the link was gone. I'm wandering if they're testing the waters with new options? At least there is some activity!

Thanks Mel,
As usual, I jumped in too quickly . Hopefully this will be like the old top-up methods which just pop-up every now & then. I will keep my eyes pealed.
Cheers,
Dave C
