I only had a heap of small time unauthorized charges happen to me once.
It was Bank Of America card.
After researching, including all the local and state police on my part,as well as the Bank Of America fraud investigation unit,it seemed to suggest my card number was one of those of millions that were compromised by the fault of guess who?
Bank Of America.
There database was compromised by a careless employee having all the card numbers on his laptop.
Never did find the guy who made all the charges to my account, but this clown actually bought flowers for a girl he met in a online chatroom.
The police did personally talk to her.
Simply handing your card to the cashier at your local convience store puts you at risk.
You may feel that you can trust the store, but can you trust the employee?
Things like this make it impossible to always be 100% safe.
No matter how secure your webpage, and no matter how trustworthy the merchant.
I know some people that refuse to enter their credit card info online.
But they will give the same info over the phone without question.
Now just what do you think those people you are on the phone with are going to do with that info?
Enter it ONLINE!!!!

HaHaHa!!
You could use virtual credit cards, which is actually very, very safe.
You can create a virtual credit card, and tell everybody the account number, and it is worthless to anyone even when they know the account number, unless they know which merchant it is good for.
If they ever did figure that out,the card has already expired.
The card is only good for one merchant that YOU specify.
And it is only good for the amount YOU specify, and will expire when YOU specify.
But back to your original concerns.
After that happened with Bank Of America,I wasn't sure if I had use the compromised card with allofmp3/sparks.
I suspected the same as you could be possible.
So I used a different card ever since with them,a card that I haven't used with anybody else except with them.
If it ever happened again, and that card was the one it happened to,it then HAD TO BE them.
I do this with several merchants I am unsure of.
I don't want to prevent the credit card from being fraudulently used,I want to catch the *** and have proof of it.
But with allofmp3/sparks it never has,and to be truthful,I never really thought it was them to begin with.
Why would they need to do that?
They had a good reputation for being the #1 Russian online music store, and were doing very well making money, that they don't need the few hundred bucks they might get of a credit card scam.
I'm just one person, and I have willingly paid them more than the amount of the fraudulent charges that were on my credit card.
If people starting having problems with credit card fraud after using their services,or any other Russian online music store for that matter, how long to you think they would stay in business?
And more than likely you'd see it mentioned right here.
