hi everyone- just joined up, and i maybe really naive, but why are there such problems with payments. got all excited when signed up to mp3sparks because theyve got music i want that i can't find other places- but then of course wouldnt accept my visa card, then tried alltunes, but again no luck- whats this about buying prepaid pin numbers or something- is it safe, does it work? is there no way to do it through paypal?help, any explanations would be useful- i don't know whether to persevere with this or not?cheers

I've wondered this since I joined this forum. Now's finally time to ask Are MasterCards that hard to come by? What's the big deal about getting oneself a MasterCard?

Here in the UK they are probably as common as Visa, it all depends which company your bank is signed up with. Many people have both. My bank, bless them, decided to migrate me to MasterCard just as Mp3Sparks stopped taking Visa. So here, if you want a MasterCard, you just apply for one. Or ten. Perhaps the system is a bit more restrictive in the US?

If anything, here in the US we get assaulted with a a mountain of junk mail every day, including non stop credit card offers. I'd be very surprised if there was an issue applying for a Master Card. To be honest, until I joined this forum, I've never been so accutely aware of Visa Vs. Mastercard. Didn't know there was much difference.

I too get loads of letters each week asking me to take out a new MasterCard. I finally got one a couple of months ago during one of allofmp3 phases of not accepting Visa. It was easy to get, but it took ~a month to arrive (very annoyed at the time).
