[Advice] US/International Customers::Try This!

Ok, so I live in Ireland, and following the advice of another member, tried the option of calling the French number via skype... And it worked!
So log in or create a skype account, top it up via paypal or credit card, et voila!
The only thing is that the French number is probably the cheapest per minute and you have to wait on the line for about 23 minutes! I was just hoping it wouldn't hang up...

The call cost €7.78 which is less than the advertised €8

I received a bonus of 10% plus my own personal bonus

FINALLY!!!

Update:

French numbers no longer exist.. Go with Luxembourg. You might have to be patient in connecting

Ok.. France is back online.. just use your better judgement

I tried the French number with Skype. After a 23 minutes call my CMPass call result was "Cheat detected". 8 Euros down the drain.

Maybe that's why France was off line for a while?

The Luxembourg number didn't work also. It kept coming up as invalid.

Looks like this it not the way to go for those outside the listed countries .

Hmm unlucky.. Because obviously I'm not in any of those countries and it was still successful for me.. Very sly of them to hang for 23 minutes and then detect it.. Maybe they let EU countries do it even if they're not listed.. Sorry it didn't work out

Hamuse, what country do you live in? Because I live in the U.S. and tried multiple French numbers and I don't believe I ever got through. The real problem is if you don't have more than the full amount on skype you'll lose all the money in addition to not getting your alltunes credit.

I'm in The Netherlands. I have access to a Dutch CMPass number so it's no problem for me personally.

I was just experimenting to see if the Skype work around was a real solution for those in countries without a PayByCall phone number.
Looks like it doesn't help very much. It's more like a gamble.

Skype may be a good option for those in Europe who want to help US members. It gives you more control of your phone bill and you can call without keeping your home phone busy.

Yes, successfully top up my account using both France and Luxembourg no. via skype. Waiting time For Luxembourg no. is shorter. And it only works if you buy the $15 card. Doesn't work with $20 card.

This really good news. I have been waiting for this day for a very long time. Spent hours topping up my acct....want to ensure that I have sufficient funds till the next outage again....I think the MPAA will find ways to block this again soon....
