Just to let you know, I just added funds to my account by using a Mastercard through MP3Sparks. Nothing special to add the funds. I just on Balance and pay with credit card. It took my information, the payment was accepted, and the balance reflects my purchase. Hopefully, this means that things have been worked out and it will stay working.

Mike, I'm afraid all it means is that your either your IP has been unblocked (or it never was blocked) or that you have been flagged to bypass the IP block. I don't think that any of the payment barriers are going to just magically go away until IFPI ceases their guerrilla war against Russian/Ukrainian sites.

By the way, lots of people in the us have no problem paying. Country doesn't matter.

But hey, at least you got through!

Glad to hear you could pay OK.

What I'd really like to know though is whether anyone, anywhere can still pay by Visa at Chronopay, and if so, whether they went through the Verified by Visa authentication process to do it.

My payment, which I had to use tor to get through was in a pending state for 3 weeks. Now it is gone and there is no charge against my account. My mp3sparks account still has the balance however, well at least for now.

I wonder what will happen next?

I suspect Sparks will eventually deduct the money from your account, so if I were you, I'd treat it like it isn't really there.

Did you use visa perchance? I think we may be seeing a new round of visa cutoffs given all that has been happening.

I used a Bank of America Mastercard. I have another MC that worked to fund my legalsounds account, and may try this on sparks.

But the BofA card has "shopsafe" a virtual CC number that I liked, which is why I tried this card here.

When the charge was listed as pending, it said that the merchant had to finish the transaction before it would leave the pending state, or else the charge would be removed.

The other card that worked on LS had been pending for 10 days and when it finally worked there was a fee charged for the currency transaction. Maybe that has something to do with it, or maybe legalsounds is not on the don't pay list.

We haven't seen issues with mastercard payments being refused yet. As for the long delay, that is pretty typical in my experience. On several occasions I paid AllofMP3 with my Paypal Mastercard debit card and I could log in and watch the various steps happen. Invariably paypal would place a hold and then release the hold because AOMP3 hadn't completed their end of thengs. Then after the hold was released, the charge would appear again when AOMP3 finally put through their end of things. What it meant on my paypal account was that I actually saw two separate entries for each transaction even though I was only charged once in the end.

Also, yes there is a currency conversion charge. Even though Sparks prices the music in dollars, the actual payment is transferred to Rubles.

The pending charge was removed, and my account not charged. BofA says its the merchants fault, that if it had reached pending, then the transaction was approved. But I didn't mention this site might be special.

Since then, I tried to fund by cmpass and got it to go, paypal says they are paying some guy Jonathan rowsell, who when googled ends up as someone at TxtNation.

When this funding was put into my balance, they also removed what was left of my old balance. So, the $25 was gone (but I'd spent $6 of it, so I guess I got the $6 for free). Now my balance is the $10. I added using cmpass which seems down tonight. Was going to add more.

edit:

cmpass is up today, and I added another $10 (actually comes out to $11 and I get charged $11.81 through paypal). sparks now shows my balance at around $21 which is correct. For some reason, ths cmpass can only do a $10 funding. I wanted to do more since the procedure is a bit lengthy as it goes back and forth between different screens and gets confusing.
