Question Hello - I'm a newbie - 08-24-2008, 07:45 AM

I am so glad to have found this forum. My internet provider provides Yahoo! Jukebox for free, but to do a lot, you are supposed to upgrade to Rhapsody. Wow! Really expensive! So, my husband told me about his using AllTunes for my 40th Birthday several years ago. So, I go to the site, download it again, and sign on with his old sign on. Guess What? He has a balance! Woohoo! Well, with $5.26, I downloaded 22 songs - so fun! So, I go to add money to my account, and, surprise, not accepting payments.

So, I go looking online and find this awesome site. But, I now realize, I have A LOT to learn about downloading music and payments, etc...

So, here it goes... Can anybody give me a basic Cliff Notes version of Alltunes, AllMP3, Sparks, etc...? Is there any round-about way to add money to my account? I have tons of Bookmarks, and I am itching to buy more.

I wrote to Alltunes several times and FINALLY got a response. Below is my original e-mail and their response:

Hello, Alysoun

We’re sorry, our payment system is not accepting payments at the moment.
You can pay through ways of payment which will be accessible on a site in the future.

We’ll inform you when the payment will become available.
Accept our apologies for the delivered inconveniences

So, any advice would be greatly appreciated - I am addicted now to downloading music and making my own cd's and loading up my mp3 player!

Hi Cooqtmom and welcome to the forums.

I am glad you found us and I have to say we a pretty friendly bunch who aim to help where we can.

As for funding your AllTunes/mp3sparks account the only way at present is by using CMPASS here. You can by direct from CMPASS using PayByCall where you dial a premium rate phone number for a set length of time and at the end of the call you are presented with the PIN codes to enter into sparks.

An easier method is to buy the PIN codes direct from a couple of forum members here jazzy639 and phobozad - both very reputable people. Obviously they charge you a small fee for their trouble but this is made up by the bonus you get from AllTunes/Sparks.

Personally I have tried all three and I prefer to buy my codes from jazzy and/or phobozad.

Take a look at these threads and they will give you all the information you need.

http://www.aom3.org/forum/f7/selling...deux-2525.html (Selling allTunes/MP3Sparks pin codes (thread deux))

http://www.aom3.org/forum/f7/spare-c...hers-2472.html (Spare CMPASS $20 Vouchers)

I hope this helps and good luck.

I know it's bad when you can't fund your habit!

If you have one watch you know what the time is. But if you have two you don't know which one is right.

The more advice you get the more confusing it becomes.

Hi coolqtmom and welcome to the forum.

You're in luck We have two forum members of excellent repute being Phobozad and Jazzy 639. Both of these fine members have made it their mission to help people fund their accounts by selling Pin Codes with which you can fund your Alltunes account.

You can read what others say about them and how to contact them to buy Pin Codes here:

http://www.aom3.org/forum/f7/spare-c...hers-2472.html (Spare CMPASS $20 Vouchers)

Good luck

But then again you can listen to Ashley who get there before me

Sorry Hirs!

If I had know you were posting I would have deferred to a more 'senior' member.

Anyway I'm glad we both came up with the same answers.
