How would you make Aom3 better? - 05-12-2009, 10:06 AM

Hi,
Im asking the help of aom3 members to suggest ideas on how to make aom3 a better place for current members as well as bringing in new promising ones. Ideas can be about anything, ranging from news, guides to new site sections (think of it as a brain-storming session ).

Send Vik a fruit basket and beg her to come back. When she left, the place died.

one, two - buckle my shoe, three, four - shut the door, five, six - pick up sticks, seven, eight - lay em straight

I agree with the above. Gotta say aom3 you reap what you sow. The departure of those members never had to happen. I'm also not too happy about the Fiesta posting you issued regarding its demise by the end of last year. (See my other post regarding that. You are welcome to PM me about any of this if you like.)

Although I don't post as often as I used to, the reason I still tune in to this site is due to the hard work and my respect for our moderator Nightfly. It's been a while, but how are you doing Sir Night?

My experience has been that free things that people like and can use seems to attract people.

Hi Sir Nightfly

It's nice to be established in Oz and able to start looking for more music, checking out the forum and seeing you and some others again. It is disheartening that there aren't more members actively involved.

As for drawing new members -- I don't know the feasibility of this -- but I thought something along the lines that for every member who brought a new member to the forum, and after that new member had posted, say 25 posts (that were mostly meaningful to the site, of course), would aom3 be in a position to work something out with any of the sites where those new members (and the current members who brought them to the site) got a credit to one of the music sites that we have a good relationship with?

I envision it could be a promotion event that ran for June and July. All I know is that what ever is being offered has to be of enough value for people to put the effort in.

There's my two cents. Maybe others can start spinning ideas from here.

Another Mod (not me) for when Nightfly is busy, asleep or whatever , might help.
Nightfly is one of the best and at least one other person with his qualities would improve this site in my opinion.

Regards Chris.

Procol Harum's A Whiter Shade of Pale is the most played song in public places in the last 75 years, according to a chart compiled for BBC Radio 2. (April 2009)

et tu Chris......

Yes maybe a person with a more technical background would help.

Solaris and I were much different and that's what made it work.

But one thing we both had was respect for the members on this site.
