Hi tencircles,
It really depends on what you want to use your ipod for. If you just want to use it to play music, yes you probably can. If you want to use some of the other function present on the ipod (i.e. playing music videos, films, playing games, syncing in your address book / diary with Outlook / etc), probably not. I would strongly recommend reading the first post in this excellent thread from the MM forum which tell you everything you will every need to know about how to set up your ipod. NB. bits of the first post are now out of date (i.e. MM now supports mp4), but it is still a very useful guide.
Cheers,
Dave

Didn't even know that Zune still had a name and any kind of representation, much less a store.

Heh heh, I know I know it's an easy target. But Zune kicks normal iPods asses (excluding iPod touch) and the Zune music software is the most gorgeous PC music software I've ever used.
